Add 2 cups of Dates to 2/3 cup of water and 1/2 cup sugar boil until dates softened and water is absorbed, let cool. Separate Set aside 1 and 1/3 cup of mix from bag to used to make topping. Mix remainder with 3/4 soft butter until crumbly press into 9 x13 greased pan. Now spread date mixture evenly in pan. Combine bowl with 1 1/3 cup of mix with 1/3 cup+ tbl of soft butter until crumbly, sprinkle on top .Bake at 350F for approximately 20 to 25 10 to 15 minutes until brown on top (depending on your oven).
